Despite the perilous state of our planetary environment, from climate change to the energy crisis, comprehensive environmental planning - Green Planning - as practiced in certain forward-looking countries is today bringing efficiency, cost reduction, and overall effectiveness to a wide variety of organizations including businesses, universities, churches, and others. In the process, it is contributing to a healthier life, a more vital and diverse natural world, the preservation of the resource base of our global economy and future development, and ultimately to our collective security.
